We had a busy week here at Lake City Schools! On Thursday, November 10th we hosted our 6th annual Career Day! Middle and High School students had the opportunity to see over 20 different careers! Everything from a Farrier to Lineman! What a great opportunity for our students to learn and see what is out there for them! A huge thank you to all our presenters for taking time out of their day to come see us! And a special thank you to our Keynote Speaker for the day- Dr. Joshua Merchant- Oakland University Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Trustees.
A lot of connections were made and a lot of doors were opened for our Trojans!

The middle school football game vs. Roscommon at Roscommon is now on Wednesday, October 12 (instead of Tuesday, October 11). Start time is still 6 pm. Bus will depart at 4:15 pm

MS volleyball practice tonight (8/23) from 3 to 4:30.
Tomorrow (8/24) 7th grade practice from 3-4:30 and 8th grade from 4:30 to 6.

The Wellness Center is offering sports physicals on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7:45 am - 4:00 pm. Call 231.282.9039 to make an appointment.

This Wednesday's (5/11/22) MS track meet will be held in Roscommon (not in LC).

Sports Physicals: Did you know that if you get your Sports physical after April 15, it's good for the whole next school year? (2022-2023). If you get your sports physical at The Wellness Center before July 1st, you will receive a Subway gift card and a Wellness Center water bottle. Sports updates for Friday, Feb. 2: JV boys basketball vs Roscommon is ON, MS girls basketball at Pine River is CANCELLED.

1) JV/V girls basketball at Gaylord is rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 24. 2) JV boys basketball is home vs. Roscommon on Friday, starting at 5:30 pm 3) MS girls basketball vs McBain tonight is cancelled.

MS girls basketball games for Wednesday, February 23 are cancelled.

Middle School wrestling tonight at Mason County Central is being canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

MS game change for Monday, 1/17/22:
7th grade only will play on Monday at NMC - 5:30 pm start.
There will not be an 8th grade game.

All technology devices are to be turned in today (Thursday) 8 am to 3 pm or Friday (June 11) 8 am to 12 noon.

Any students interested in athletics next school year: you will need to have a physical by your own physician. Physical cards are in the office if you need to take one to your doctor. You MUST have a physical card on file before participating in the fall athletic program.

We are hosting the Highland Conference MS Track Meet tomorrow 5/19. Admission is $5 per individual, or $10 per family.
